All entry fees include a $25 non-refundable office fee. All entries will receive confirmation

Show Jumping Test Friday evening, Oct 31-sign up in show office, limited number of spaces available $30.00. Double entries: NOT Accepted.

Refunds: Before C.D.-Less $25 non-refundable office fee; After C.D-No refund. Competition cancellation-No refund.
Neg. Coggins within 12 months required for all horses.

  • Non competing horses are Welcome on grounds. $ 50.00 per horse, plus appropriate stabling fees. Must sign waiver in office and be issued a non competing horse number.
  • Riding will be restricted to published times and areas.
  • Absolutely NO ATVs allowed at VHC.
  • All Withdrawals must be made in writing, postmarked, emailed or faxed, no later than
    Closing Date.
  • All changes to entry must be made in writing before C.D., any change to entry stats/stabling /post entries s after C.D. a processing fee will be charged according to chart above. Attn: VAHT on entry envelope. ABSOLUTELY NO TELEPHONE WITHDRAWALS, CHANGES OR STABLING REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Tentative Schedule:
Thurs: Cross-country courses open-3 pm. ATC Dinner and Team Draw for placement and times – 6:00pm .
Fri: Dressage-8 am I, P and & all ATC division; Show Jumping Test Oct 31 Friday night
Sat: Dressage (T/N/ BN)-8 am; Cross-country I, P, all ATCs & -8 am;. Show Jumping T/N/BN -10 am.
Sun: Show Jumping: I, P, all ATCs & parade of teams -8 am; Cross-Country (T/N/BN)-9 am

Awards: ATC: Team Ribbons through 8th place, team coolers and photos provided by The Chronicle of the Horse. HTs Trophy & 6 ribbons. Show Jumping Cash back top three places & 10 ribbons.

Stabling/Veternarian: $40.00 per day/night. Barns open up noon Monday. Early arrivals=$50 per night/day; layover additional fees require call ahead to arrange. 800 perm. stalls on grounds. Stall doors provided, no initial bedding provided. Feed/Hay/Bedding available for purchase.

All entries must have a stabling form. All stabling requests must be in writing by C.D., additional requests after C.D. subject to $30 processing fee. ABSOLUTELY NO CHANGES IN STABLING after Oct 28. Any horses found in unassigned stalls will be fined $50, must move and pay fine before dressage! Bedding: Straw & shavings only! Veterinarian: Dr. Brent Hall, 540 377 9270 & cell # posted at stabling office.

Camping: The Virginia Horse Center has 78 Camping Spots with 30/50amp electric and water hookups. Camping is $30 per night payable to The Virginia Horse Center Welcome Center/Stable Office upon arrival. Reservations can be made online at www.horsecenter.org under the facilities link. Selection of reserved site is still first come, first served upon arrival. Camping without reservations will be permitted if there are vacancies. Questions can be directed to stableoffice@horsecenter.org or 540-464-2966. NO prepay or reservations accepted via entry form.

Directions: Address: 487 Maury River Rd., Lexington, VA 24435
From I-81 North or South: Take Exit 191 to I-64 west for 1 mi. to Exit 55 (follow signs to VA Horse Center). Right on Rt. 11 North. First left on Rt. 39, Maury River Road. VHC 3/4 mi. on left.
From I-64 East: To Exit 55, turn left. Go 3/10 mi., turn left on Rt. 39, Maury River Road. As above.

Dressage: Test & arena sizes:. All Preliminary 2006 USEF Preliminary Test A-Sm.. All Training-2006 USEF Training Test A -Sm. All Novice -2006 USEF Novice Test A-Sm. All Beginner Noivce-2006 USEF Beginner Novice Test B-Sm. Arenas: Bluestone/Perma-flex mix.

Cross-Country: I- 3000m @ 550mpm, Expect rolling terrain, good move up course,: All P-2800 m @ 520 mpm; expect water, banks, ditches, corners and skinnies. OP division will run XC on the Oakhill property, expect a slightly more difficult course then P (same side as I) All T-2300 m @ 450 mpm, expect water, banks, ditches, angled combinations. All N-2000m @ 400m, expect water, banks , ditch/log, combination. All BN- 2000m @ 350mpm, expect ,water, intro ditch, step up . All courses: rolling terrain.

Other Information:

  • Absolutely NO ATVs allowed at VHC
  • Cross-country courses only available for schooling at VHT Starter HT – August 30 & 31
  • Riders limited to total of 5 horses.
  • Levels may be divided or combined as entries warrant; state preferences under the Eligible Section and birth date on entry.
  • PH open to horses never to have completed above the intermediate level
  • TH open to horses never to have completed above preliminary level.
  • JT open to competitors through the end of their 18th birthday year
  • NH open to horses never to have completed above the training level.
  • JN open to competitors through the end of their 18th birthday year.
